Art Exchange and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia will host "Heritage of Stone and Heaven" photography exhibition opening reception and silent auction on January 26, 2023 from 6-8 PM at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington, DC.
The exhibition will feature award-winning photographs and honorable mentions from the “Heritage of Stone and Heaven” international photography competition that was inspired by the UNESCO world cultural heritage of Serbia, Serbian traditions that found their place on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Serbia's documentary heritage that has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
Through the eye and the lens of the winning photographers, visitors will have a chance to experience images of cultural assets whose uniqueness, beauty and significance for people’s lives transcend national and regional boundaries and which constitute heritage of all humanity. These are the landmarks, traditions, and documentary heritage of immense artistic, cultural, social and historical value which we inherited from our ancestors and which we carefully preserve for future generations.
